Lotte Chemical Titan group of companies produces a variety of Polyethylene products, comprising of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) with overall production capacity 1,105 KTA of PE with production facilitites located in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Lotte Chemical Titan (Malaysia) commenced operations of the first polyethylene plant in September 1993. Employing Unipol technology from Union Carbide, the swing plant currently has a nominal capacity of 220KTA. This plant is capable of producing HDPE, LLDPE and mLLDPE grades and currently, is dedicated for HDPE production (under brand name Titanex®). The total PE production capacity of Lotte Chemical Titan in Malaysia increased to 565KTA with the construction of two more PE plants at its Tanjung Langsat site. A 230KTA Low Density Polyethylene Plant employing ExxonMobil’s tubular technology commenced operations in October 1999 (under brand name Titanlene®). and a 115KTA HDPE plant using Mitsui bimodal process technology commenced operations in September 2000 (under brand name Titanzex®).
Lotte Chemical Titan (Indonesia) produces High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), under brand name Titanvene®. Lotte Chemical Titan (Indonesia) commenced operations in 1993, employing Innovene gas phase technology from Ineos with nominal capacity 450 kTa.
TitanVENE® Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) is used for film, rotational molding, and wire & cable. The products are well known for their consistent performance and quality. It offers various characteristics including high strength and toughness with excellent clarity and low gel level for a variety film application, ranging from thin packaging film to heavy duty sack film. Rotational Molding products used for water tanks and toys have excellent processability, good mechanical properties, UV and stress crack resistance. Wire & Cable products are used to make low voltage cable insulation which offers excellent processability by extrusion and low level of gel.
